BRIDGE Partner University of Klagenfurt Guest Edits IEEE STCSN E-Letter Featuring BRIDGE Project

The IEEE STC (Special Technical Community) on Social Networking releases periodical E-Letters regarding special innovations and research topics covering social networks. The current issue of the STCSN E-Letter, dedicated to the topic “Social Media Analysis for Crisis Management”, was guest edited by the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt in the context of the European Project BRIDGE. This E-Letter gives a project overview, describes the social media analysis research and associated social, ethical and legal considerations in the BRIDGE project, and discusses related work and further activities worldwide on the use of social networks for crises management.
